READY TO SERVE?

Apply to be a Life Group Leader today!

We aren’t kidding when we say that our Life Group leaders are the backbone of our ministry. Our team is full of caring adults who are willing to give up their time to point students to Jesus. Serving at the ROCK is one of the most rewarding ways to pour into the next generation,
and we’d love to have you join us!

What are you getting yourself in to?

A typical group is made up of ~10 students (grade and gender specific), and we aim for each group to have 2 leaders who co-lead the group each week.

Weekly:

  • Life Groups meet once a week on Thursdays during the ROCK from September - early June.

  • Staff gather at 6:30 PM on Thursdays before the ROCK for prayer & ministry updates .

  • We ask leaders to be meeting/messaging with their students outside of Thursday nights, and praying for them regularly!

Monthly:

  • We meet once a month on Sunday mornings for staff training during the 11:15 AM service.

During the Year:

  • We kick off the year in September with a weekend staff training.

  • We ask our leaders to be present at our Winter Retreat and Summer Camp.

  • Semester get togethers with your Life Group

  • Staff parties!!

All Life Group Leaders must attend Oak Pointe Church.

LOOKING FOR A LOWER LEVEL COMMITMENT?
WE NEED THURSDAY NIGHT VOLUNTEERS!

Thursday night volunteers work in three areas: the snack shop, the welcome desk, and the security team. Volunteers serve one Thursday per month.

Snack Shop: Middle school students come hungry on Thursday nights! Volunteers serve them snacks, candy, and drinks from 6:45-7:15 PM and from 8:45-9:15 PM.

Welcome Desk: Be one of the first smiling faces that our students see! You’ll sign students in, and help new students get registered/connect them with a Life Group. Volunteers serve from 6:30-7:15 PM.

Security Team: Help keep our students safe by ensuring that they’re where they need to be. Walk the halls and atrium, and remind students to be with the group. Volunteers serve from 7:30-8:30 PM.
