We arrived at Lake Ann Camp safely at 8:15 PM and students and staff dispersed around camp to get their stuff set up in their cabins. The students then gathered around the outside of the chapel before our session started. We blocked off all the windows to keep the theme a secret until the very last minute. At 9 PM, there was a stampede inside to discover that our theme is DINOSAURS!
We had an awesome energetic set of worship music. The students then got into their teams and played the first team game called Dinosaur Tails. Students donned a tail and tried to knock down as many water bottles as they could as fast as they could.
We then got to hear from our speaker, Brett Ray. He talked about miracles and told the students he expected God to do a miracle in every person’s life here at camp this week. It can be a huge miracle or a small one, but in order to see God work, we have to be willing to take the first step. The first step is asking God, “Show me who you are.” Pray that with us—that we will all see who God is.
